Adaptive robots that combine force control and AI for contact-rich work

An adaptive robotics company founded in Santa Clara in 2016, with offices in San Jose, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Singapore and Munich and factories in Foshan and Zhongshan. Its co-founder and CEO is Shiquan Wang. Its 7-axis force-controlled Rizon arms (2019) and force-controlled Moonlight parallel robot (2023) automate contact-rich work such as polishing, precision insertion and cable assembly. In June 2026 it launched the Enlight arm with whole-body touch sensing and the modular dual-arm MICO, and it also offers the mobile AICO, the Mello massage robot and the Grav gripper. Flexiv became a unicorn in 2022 and on March 18, 2026 took a strategic investment led by global investment firm Invus to scale globally. In Japan, Kurabo has sold Rizon since January 2025. Its founder also co-founded Noematrix.

On January 9, 2025, Kurabo began selling Rizon (4 kg, 4 kg high-precision and 10 kg) in Japan through a partnership with Flexiv. KURAVIZON pairs it with KURASENSE 3D vision for tasks like gripping cables and other flexible parts and connector insertion. Named customer production deployments are not yet confirmed.
Flexiv made its first appearance at the International Robot Exhibition at Tokyo Big Sight on December 3–6, 2025, demonstrating Rizon and other adaptive robots, including a massage demo station.
Flexiv reportedly collaborated with Siemens in May 2024. That September it also developed an automated fish-fillet shaping solution.
