Overview

Robbyant (Shanghai Ant Lingbo Technology) is the embodied AI arm of Ant Group, registered in Shanghai in December 2024 and formally launched in March 2025. It builds its own wheeled dual-arm robots, the R1 (shown in September 2025) and the current R2, and open-sources robot foundation models such as LingBot-VLA. Its strategy is "one brain, many bodies": the same AI runs on third-party robots, and the company said in August 2026 that pre-training covered 17 robot brands and 20 form factors. Its robots now handle night-shift medicine sorting in a Guoda Pharmacy store in Shanghai.

Strengths

  • Full-stack embodied AI backed by Ant Group's capital and AI research
  • LingBot-VLA released under Apache-2.0; its nine public GitHub repositories total 33,616 stars as of Nov 3, 2026, led by LingBot-Map
  • "One brain, many bodies": its brain also runs on third-party robots such as Leju and Titan, and it signed strategic partnerships with three companies including Damon Technology in October 2026
  • Live pharmacy sorting in an existing store with no hardware retrofits
