Maker of NEO, a home humanoid available to order for $20,000

1X Technologies is a humanoid company founded in Norway and based in the US. It takes orders for the NEO home humanoid at $20,000 to own or $499 a month by subscription. It began volume production at its Hayward factory in April 2026 (about 10,000 units a year) and plans markets outside the US from 2027; as of November 2026 customer deliveries have not been officially confirmed. NEO uses soft tendon-driven hardware and 1X's Redwood AI, with 1X experts remotely supervising tasks NEO has not yet learned. In December 2025 it announced an intent with EQT to roll out up to 10,000 humanoids across EQT portfolio companies from 2026 to 2030.
