Humanoid robot prices in 2026 (November): the main models compared

A price list of humanoid robots, from compact models under USD 5,000 to wheeled industrial humanoids above USD 100,000. How to read official, dealer and press prices, the costs beyond the robot itself and how to buy in Japan, from a maker-neutral catalog.
Humanoid robot prices differ by more than 30x across models. Compact robots sold on official online stores start below USD 5,000, while most factory-grade humanoids have no public price at all. This article lists the humanoids in the Physical AI Labo catalog by price and explains how to read those prices and what else you will pay for.
All prices are indicative. Charts and tables convert to yen at USD 1 = JPY 150, CNY 1 = JPY 21 and EUR 1 = JPY 165. Prices exclude tax, shipping, import duties, radio certification and maintenance. Confirm the landed total with a quote.
Price ranges at a glance

Read the price by its source
The same number means different things depending on where it came from.
| Basis | Meaning | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Official | Price on the maker's store or announcement | Tax, shipping and duties are usually extra |
| Dealer | Listing from a reseller | Configurations (hands, batteries, support) differ by dealer |
| Press | Price reported at a launch or in the news | Can be a limited launch price |
| Estimate | Projected cost at volume | Not a selling price |
| Quote | No public price | Varies widely with use case and configuration |
The more industrial the robot, the more likely it is quote-only. UBTECH Walker S2, Figure 03 and Agility Digit have no public price.
What separates cheap and expensive humanoids
The gap comes mainly from degrees of freedom, hands, payload, runtime and whether the robot is an open development (EDU) edition. Compare three Unitree models with a wheeled industrial humanoid.

Compact robots are enough for walking, dancing and talking demos, but often lack the hands or payload to pick up and carry objects. For research or business development you usually need the EDU edition with an open SDK, which is typically quoted separately.
Costs beyond the robot
Buying the robot is only the start. Getting it to work on a real site adds these costs.
What a quote includes
Robot
Purchase, rental or subscription
Shipping & import
Freight, insurance, customs, installation
Certification & safety
Compliance checks and safety design
Integration
Development, equipment links, testing
Adoption
Training, runbooks, operations review
Support
Coverage, spare parts, recovery
AgiBot's official store, for example, states that shipping (USD 500–3,000 at cost) plus duties, taxes and customs fees are paid by the buyer. Robots with radios also need radio certification in Japan.
Buying in Japan
Many Chinese makers have sales channels in Japan. The main ones confirmed in our catalog (November 2026):
| Maker | Main channel in Japan |
|---|---|
| Unitree | GMO AI & Robotics Trading signed an official distribution agreement (June 2026). TechShare and Tohasen Robotics also sell in Japan |
| UBTECH | Bitcoin Japan signed an exclusive distribution agreement (October 16, 2026). GA Robotics offers PoC and maintenance as an authorized dealer |
| AgiBot | BotSharing JAPAN rents robots for entertainment (X2 Ultra from JPY 60,000 per day, excl. tax) |
| Booster Robotics | Switch Science sells Booster K1 Pro (JPY 2,748,900 incl. tax) |
| Galbot | Big Hands handles sales and deployment |
| DEEP Robotics | ELSA Japan is the authorized distributor |
Distributors can change quickly. Parallel imports may not be covered by warranty or maintenance, so check that a channel is authorized before you buy.
Which band for which use
- ・Research, education and exhibitions: compact and mid-size robots (Unitree R1 and G1, Booster K1, LimX TRON 1). Good for trying one unit first
- ・Customer-facing pilots: robots in the USD 13,000–50,000 band combined with conversational AI
- ・Factory and warehouse work: dual-arm, wheeled and factory humanoids are mostly quote-only. Run a PoC first, then decide how many units to buy
Whatever the use, decide what the robot will do on site before you compare prices. Our process is in How to deploy robots in 9 steps.
FAQ
How much does the cheapest humanoid robot cost?
In our catalog the cheapest is Unitree R1, from USD 4,900 on the official store (excluding tax and shipping). The EDU edition for development is priced separately.
Why don't factory humanoids have public prices?
The total depends on the number of units, hands and other options, maintenance and integration. Most makers sell by quote or as RaaS (a monthly subscription).
What should I check before using a Chinese humanoid in Japan?
Radio certification (Radio Act), electrical safety (PSE), safety standards, where the robot sends data, and the local support setup.
Can I rent a humanoid robot?
Some models can be rented. BotSharing JAPAN rents AgiBot robots by the day. For business evaluations, DigiRise can also help you start with a rental or a PoC.
Robots in this post
ImageG1
A compact 132 cm, ~35 kg humanoid. The EDU version (23–43 DoF) is required for secondary development.
ImageAgiBot X2 (Lingxi X2) Neo / Ultra
A compact humanoid about 1.31 m tall. Neo targets shows and interaction and does not support custom development; the 31-DOF Ultra adds sensors and development features.
ImageBooster K1 Pro
Higher-spec K1 with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 32GB (200 TOPS) and a stereo depth camera. Sold in Japan by Switch Science.
ImageAgiBot G2
A wheeled dual-arm robot for industry, commercial use and research. Its two 7-DOF arms have full torque sensing, and its height adjusts up to roughly 175–180 cm. It carries two LiDARs and RGB-D cameras and runs models like GO-1 for precision assembly and handling. In June 2026 a G2 became AgiBot's cumulative 15,000th robot.
